Experience Africa’s beautiful Mother City as never before, as you rise to the challenge of racing over the classic Olympic distance of 42.195km. Two of South Africa’s most celebrated sporting greats, Francois Pienaar and Elana Meyer, have joined forces to drive the vision of the Cape Town Marathon becoming one of the world's major marathons.
Over a spring weekend, the Cape Town Marathon unites all in a shared love of sport, fun and our gorgeous City. Come together to enjoy a festival of running that also includes a 10km Peace Run, a carefree 4.2km Fun Run, adventurous Trail Runs, exhilarating Prestige Mile Races and a team-building Relay. Get into the spirit, bring your family and friends to the vibrant supporter zone to revel in the freedom of running and relish the food stalls, beer garden, EXPO, live music and fancy dress fun.
