The island is Aruba lying 30km off the Venezuelan coast in the Caribbean Sea. With its white sand beaches it is home to 116,000 people mostly settled along the more sheltered south-west facing coast in the island capital of Oranjestad.
The race hotel is the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort at Palm Beach which is most convenient for the start and finish. The beautiful course shows you the best of Aruba.
This unique running event is AIMS-certified and under the supervision of the Aruban Athletics Federation. A suitable distance is available to everyone. The full marathon starts at 03.30, the half marathon starts at 05.30, the 10km starts at 06.30 and the 5km starts at 07.00. By staggering the starting times like this all participants finish within a relatively short time of each other on the Beach of the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort. Even though it is early morning, all participants, friends, and family are invited for an amazing beach celebration party with live music, cool beers, and the most beautiful blue ocean in the World.
The course takes you along from Palm Beach up to the famous California Lighthouse at the north-western tip of the island and to Eagle Beach. There are water station approximately every 2.5km and you can expect cheers and music from the friendly and charming Arubans along the course. We expect participants from all around the World. Our main objective is to organise the race on the highest International level and make this race unforgettable for everyone.
Registration is open until we reach our limit of 2750 participants. Each participant will receive a personalised start number, online time registration, a prize-winning medal and a complimentary cotton event shirt. The free KLM Aruba Marathon app including track & trace is available at the app store or Google play. The finisher running shirt & singlet, the traditional pasta party and charity donation are options available during the registration process.
