Olympic Day Run Greece

This is not just another run, it is the Olympic Run, in the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The “Olympic Day Run” Greece is a special run dedicated to celebrating International Olympic Day. It’s the country’s unique annual Olympic running event. Runners from all over the world run with Olympians and Paralympians through cultural routes and past historical monuments along the Thessaloniki waterfront, enjoying the best view of the city. The Run celebrates the Olympic values and includes an excellent organised athletic programme (10km, 5km, 1.5km) along with cultural events, educational activities and social contribution actions. In 2023 the event attracted runners from 78 countries of all the 5 continents. Every year thousands of runners enjoy the vibrant rhythms of modern Thessaloniki along with its multicultural history dating back 23 centuries. “Olympic Day Run” Greece is organized by the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum and the Hellenic Olympic Committee with the cooperation of the International Olympic Academy and the Association of Greek Olympians.
