Eilat Full Desert Marathon
Fri 17 November 2017
Then there is the warm winter sun, a refreshing ocean breeze…
Runners start their challenge as the morning sunrise cracks over the mountains. In the early stages the route heads north along the Israeli-Jordanian border and then westward into the Negev Desert towards Shchoret Mountain. A steady ascent climbs 286m to the highest point of the course.
On descending back to Eilat runners are treated to a magnificent mountain panorama spreading across the territory of four different countries – Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt – all wrapped around the Gulf of Aqaba.
Eilat is where the desert meets the sea and the sun shines all year round.
This running experience will connect you to nature body and soul. Take up the challenge – run the International Desert Marathon in Eilat.
