17 March 2013 will see Standard Chartered Bank stage their 9th annual marathon.

The route takes you through the streets of the Capital along the harbour passing many of Stanley’s historical landmarks all with the picturesque mountains in the background.

The Standard Chartered Stanley Marathon is officially the world’s most southerly AIMS-certified marathon, making it a popular destination for running enthusiasts.

Gradients, wind and the threat of bad weather make this one of the toughest marathon courses, testing your strength, speed and stamina.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older on 17 March 2013. Closing date for entries are 8 March, 2013 Entry fees: £40 per marathon runner and £120 per relay team. Early bird entries received by the 22 February will be entitled to discounted fees: £30 per marathon runner and £100 per relay team.
