Every year the Buenos Aires Marathon draws over 10,000 runners from all around the world, attracted by its fast, flat sea-level course. The race takes place at the start of the southern hemisphere spring and temperatures are runner-friendly.

But Buenos Aires offers far more than just good running conditions and a good race. The city is known as the “Paris of South America”, offering elegant architecture, exquisite cuisine, a legendary nightlife and fashionable shopping. Argentina is renowned for its rich European flavor. The country is in the midst of a tourism boom and Buenos Aires is voted among the most desirable cities to visit. It is a tourist-friendly city with a developed tourism infrastructure.

Cover: Runners in the Moscow Half Marathon held on 2 August. Over 9500 runners finished along with nearly 2500 others in the supporting 5km event. Winners were Rinas Akhmadeev (1:04:24) and Elena Korobkina (1:10:29). Korobkina went on to win the 10km event held in association with the Absolute Moscow Marathon on 20 September in a time of 31:49. Around 9500 finished the Marathon along with another 12,000 in the 10km.
