AIMS World Congress opens
The 25th World Congress of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) has opened.
The international meeting brings together the organisers of AIMS member races from across the globe.
AIMS President Paco Borao (pictured, centre) opened the event with introductory remarks welcoming congress delegates. He presented a plaque to Knut Parander (left) and Nils I. Hætta of the Midnight Sun Marathon for hosting the Congress.
The Midnight Sun Marathon takes place on Saturday after the Congress.
