Mainova Frankfurt Marathon
Sun 26 October 2025
The countdown is on – and in the truest sense of the word: Over 15,500 runners have already registered for this year's Mainova Frankfurt Marathon.
This means that the traditional running classic on the Main River is moving toward a full field of participants. Anyone who wants to be part of the fast course through Frankfurt on the last weekend of October should act quickly.
“We are overwhelmed by the high demand this year. If the current trend continues, the participant limit will be reached before the event weekend,” explains Jo Schindler, Race Director of the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon. “This would be a first, as we normally allow late registration on-site. This year, this will most likely no longer be possible – anyone who still wants to run should register online now.”
The supporting events are also enjoying great popularity. The T. Rowe Price Relay Marathon, the Mini Marathon, and the popular Struwwelpeter Run have seen a significant increase in participants compared to last year. Overall, the organizer expects over 28,000 participants across all distances.
“We are currently experiencing a real boom in running – interest is high across all age groups,” Schindler continues. “The Mainova Frankfurt Marathon not only offers world-class elite and recreational sports, but is also an emotional community experience for the whole family. We’re looking forward to an unforgettable weekend that will once again get Frankfurt moving.”
Those who want to take part in Germany’s oldest city marathon on October 26th should secure one of the last remaining starting spots now.
