Fan project for Münster

The marathon has already seen an increase of 1,000 participants and is approaching 4,000. The fact that the Volksbank Münster Marathon is known for its high level of event-like character was recently even reported by the Austrian trade press, which rated the atmosphere at this event as unique among European marathons.

Measures of the event’s character are, on the one hand, the large number of spectators who cheer on the runners, but also the 300 artists who were recruited at artist fairs after appropriate screenings.

A third “heavyweight” also contributes significantly to this: the annual fan project launched by the organizer, which this year features the company MUUUH! From Osnabrück, the Muuuh! fan project is under the motto “Push them to the Limit.” The company, which is also operating the telephone hotline during the marathon for the second time this year, is looking forward to receiving as many applications as possible.

Whether it’s flashy outfits, funny activities, or entire streets in a themed look, a group of at least five people should submit their unusual idea free of charge and without obligation to info@volksbank-muenster-marathon.de by September 15, 2025. An independent jury will select the three most creative supporter teams, who will receive prizes of €500, €300, and €100, respectively, in late autumn. “Transform the Volksbank Münster Marathon running course into Germany’s most creative fan mile! Cheer on the runners and create a good mood and atmosphere along the 42.195 km course,” says the Muuuh! call for applications.
