The Ravenna Marathon in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy welcomes each runner with the typical warmth of the region.

The welcome of Romagna is only exceeded by the applause of the public. Along the route, the warmth and applause of the people will accompany all runners to the finish line.

Ravenna “City of Art” is a truly special destination with its eight monuments recognised by UNESCO as world heritage sites: Basilica of San Vitale, Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Arian Baptistery, Neonian Baptistery, Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe, Archiepiscopal Chapel, Mausoleum of Theodoric.

And the cuisine.

Romagna is a land of flavours and culinary traditions that warm the heart: local
delicacies such as cappeletti (filled pasta) and piadina flatbread.

Then there’s the mosaic medal for those who complete the distance.

The Ravenna Marathon’s custom medal is a jewel designed and handmade in Annafietta’s artisan workshop.

Runners can make their medal unique by having it personalised with name and run time.
