Almost time for Berlin

The moment is approaching when runners’ training, discipline, ups and downs will pay off and they hope to reach their personal goals.

The Generali Berlin Half Marathon is growing in popularity, partly because it has been part of the coveted SuperHalfs series for the past year.

Next year, on March 29, 2026, the race celebrates its 45th edition and will allocate the race entries for runners through a lottery for the first time.

As is already usual for some events in the SuperHalfs series, race entries for runners will now be allocated by lottery due to the significant increase in interest. For 2026, we also expect a strong increase in the number of interested participants due to the 45th anniversary of the Generali Berlin Half Marathon.

This gives everyone an equal chance to secure a spot during the registration period. The registration for the lottery will take place from April 10 to May 22, 2025.

All participants in the draw will automatically receive their draw result by email on June 2, 2025 and can start planning their Generali Berlin Half Marathon on March 29, 2026 in good time.

As part of the Generali Berlin Half Marathon 2024, around 655 kg of clothing was collected in the start area. A whopping 98 percent of this could be reused and handed over to those in need. The Berlin City Mission and we as organizers are particularly pleased with the rate of usable clothing. In 2025, we want to pick up where we left off and do good together again – we’re counting on you!

The Generali Berlin Half Marathon will once again offer running and movement fun for the younger generation. This year, the Bambini Run – as part of the Bambini Run series presented by ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg – and Kids Skating will take place at the Berlin Messe fairgrounds – NOT, as in previous years, at the former Tempelhof Airport.
