Organisers of the BMW Berlin Marathon are offering runners the chance to complete a 5K on the famously fast course – the same finish line once crossed by world record breakers such as Haile Gebrselassie and Eliud Kipchoge.
The Generali 5K run on Saturday 20th September shares the same last stretch as the marathon on the Sunday and the same iconic finish in front of the Brandenburg Gate.
Organisers say: “The day before the legendary BMW Berlin Marathon, you have the unique chance to run a 5K along the final kilometres of the official race course. Experience the unforgettable finish through the Brandenburg Gate, soak in the crowd’s energy, and claim your well-earned finisher medal.”
The start is at Potsdamer Platz and the finish on Strasse des 17. Juni after the Brandenburg Gate.
