Discover modern Hanoi

Visit Vietnam for AIMS Congress

Dji 0914

Attending the 24th World Congress of AIMS in November is the best time to visit Hanoi – it is the start of the dry season.

A lot has changed for Hanoi. Art galleries, and fashionable cafés and restaurants serving innovative Vietnamese cuisine have popped up alongside the street-food stalls and pagodas.

The Old Quarter of Hanoi is still partially surrounded by the original city wall, and if you wander its narrow streets, you can spot well-preserved Buddhist temples and shrines.

Things to see and do in Hanoi:

- Enjoy an interactive street-food tour
- Rise early to see Hanoi coming to life
- Tour the Hotel Metropole’s in-house bomb shelter
- Enjoy a beer in the old quarter
- Visit the Temple of Literature
