Run in the city of love

Coming to run in Verona also opens up excellent possibilities for a touristic visit to the city and its artistic attractions. Verona is the city of love – a great international city.

Sunday 20 November will be a day of great running and celebration at the 21st HOKA Verona Marathon, 8th Zero Wind Cangrande Half Marathon and Last 10km. All events are internationally certified by AIMS and World Athletics.

About 7000 people participate in the three distances with over 2000 foreign runners travelling from 50 countries. The races start and finish from the famous historic arena of Verona, Piazza Bra, the main square of the city. The marathon is two laps of 21.0975km, while the Cangrande Half Marathon is one lap only. Starting at 08.30 participants will pass through the most beautiful streets of Verona – including those of the historic centre and along the Lungadige, a splendid and important river that also runs through Verona and its history.

The races we offer are:

Verona Marathon – for the most fearless and best-prepared, a 42.195km journey of discovery of the beauties of our city accompanied by the fresh air of our river Adige and the beautiful panorama of Verona.

Zerowind Cangrande Half Marathon – a 21,0975km challenge for running novices and for those who want to bring home results while also fully enjoying one of the most beautiful, romantic and artistic cities in Italy.

Last10Km – the famous Last10km, the final 10km of the Verona Marathon. A unique course within the walls of our city. Run or walk and experience the history of the city of Romeo and Juliet.

Registrations are available online at enternow.it now and will close on 13 November. According to the rules for the organisation of events issued by FIDAL (the Italian Athletic Federation) athletes who are not resident in Italy, who have reached the age of 18 on the date of the event may participate. Verona Marathon has always had a big heart and the charity programme is active for this 2022 edition. Funds will be raised for RoadRunnerHeart, a non-profit association that donates prostheses to amputees to allow them to get back to walking and running. The intention is to reach the minimum quota of 5000 euros and purchase at least two prostheses.

Those who arrive by camper van can stop at via G. Dalla Bona, the Porta Palio area about 1.5km from the start, where there is equipped camper parking. It is also possible to park campers in car parks number A—B in the Stadium area (2.5km from the start).
