Skopje Marathon

Runners start from in front of the Macedonian Parliament building and pass through each part of the city and the surrounding neighbourhoods, testifying to the creation and growth of Skopje. The finish line is reached with a symbolic and victorious entry through the “Macedonia Gate” triumphal arch.

Skopje Marathon is the most exciting and popular sporting event in Macedonia. It is taken as a holiday, celebrating free spirit, power and stamina. On the Skopje Marathon day, 15000 people come out into the streets to greet the marathon runners from all over the world.

Modern Skopje provides a rich tourist offering, always accompanied by Macedonian specialities and wines. With this next race, on 11 May, we will celebrate our 10th edition.
