Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon
Sat 26 April 2014

Do you want to run your next marathon in beautiful surroundings in the city of Bergen – the gateway to the fjords of Norway? Then you should sign up for the Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway. It’s an international city packed with history and tradition; a big city with small-town charm and atmosphere. The Marathon will be in its third edition, and once again offers all kinds of runners the chance to enjoy the special atmosphere in the streets and alleys of this beautiful city. In our first marathon in 2012 we had around 1800 athletes on the starting line, but in 2013 their numbers jumped to more than 5000 – how many are up for the challenge in 2014? Runners will explore Bergen from its best side as they run through the city parks, the famous Fjellveien road and through narrow streets and the harbour area. The start/finish line will be right in front of Bergen’s famous old Hanseatic wharf ‘Bryggen’. The Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon also offers a half marathon, a half marathon relay and a 5km race, with awards for the top three in all distances and gifts for everyone participating.
