Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok
Sun 5 December 2021
The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok (ATMBKK) is the largest and most trendy road running race in Thailand and attracts more than 30,000 runners and over 20,000 spectators across the whole weekend. The race has established itself as the major running event on Thailand’s sporting calendar. On race day thousands of runners from around the Asia region will run past Bangkok’s iconic landmarks such as the Victory Monument, Wat Benchamabophit Marble Temple, Ratchadamnoen Street (Thailand’s Champs-Elysees), Rama 8 Bridge and the Golden Mountain Temple. The start from the Rajamangala National Stadium also provides marathon runners with an unforgettable memory.
ATMBKK is owned and operated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Tri-League and adheres to world-class organisational standards. ATMBKK has been granted a World Athletics Road Race Label. Participants get to rub shoulders with some of the world’s best runners on race day and to experience the warm hospitality from the Land of Smiles. The Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok will feature three different competitive categories: Marathon (42.195km), Half Marathon (21.1km), and 10km. Casual and leisure runners will also have a dedicated category in the 5km Family Fun Run where the family gets to run together and inspire the little ones perhaps one day to run a marathon. With four different race categories to register for, there is something for everyone.
2021 marks the 4th anniversary of the Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok and we are set to stage an unforgettable Marathon with Thai cultural food for runners at the finish line, an expo featuring 70 outlets of sporting goods, a charity fun run and a variety of merchandise goods and entertainment activities for everyone. The finish line will be in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangkok, Democracy Monument on Rachadamnoen Road, next to the world-famous night market street Khao San Road.
